Looking at the owners manual online it says it can be set at 1 to 9 (1 being 10% and 9 being 90%). It looks like mine is set at 50% (when I look on "charging priority" on the controller it shows "5") which I find odd as I have only got one battery. What I can work out is it can only be changed with a remote. Does this mean, as I only have one battery, it all goes there automatically.

That’s what my old Truma controller did if there was only one battery connected and not connected to the starter battery....regardless of what the settings or display said.

Battery one is your leisure battery and battery 2 is the starter battery. Normal settings are 90% to the leisure battery and 10% to the starter battery. The starter battery should then start charging when the leisure battery reaches 90%.
All the setting can be accessed and set via the settings button on the top right.

I’ve just googled the controller...and it looks identical to the Truma one, apart from the colour and that was programmed just as you say.

IIRC the Truma manual said the charge was continuously split as per the percentages, but I could be wrong.

If you rely on on you solar for off grid use it would be better to fit a decent MPPT regulator like a Votronic or Victron.

Many thanks for advice. The question was for my son who is currently in Spain. Further inspection found It to be a bad connection near the fuse that had come unattached. He did find the information useful for future reference.
