E&P Hydraulics Levelsystem

The four hydraulic jacks are mounted directly to the chassis of the vehicle. The jacks have the bearing and levelling capacity your motorhome requires. Each hydraulic jack has a 230 mm. stainless steel foot plate on a flexible pivot guaranteeing the greatest firmness possible on any surface.

If you wanted a bigger footplate area, then you can fit these covers as I did, which takes the diameter out to 270mm and they have a textured finish on the base for grip.

To answer your question, the base plates are 9 inches. I opted to add Snappads to the base of my previous Motorhome and have just fitted a new set to my new van. Amazon don’t appear to stock them anymore so had them shipped from the U.S. It was amazing watching them transit across the world arriving 11 days after delivery. The ones required for E&P jacks are the 9 inch ones.

All those electrical and hydraulic gubbins look perilously close to the exhaust

No, plenty of space, the camera has foreshortened the shot.

Just crawled back under the van to take this photo to put your mind at rest. :giggle:

If you like crawling around on your hands and knees they are. :giggler: :giggle:
Get a cheap garden center knee pad for that issue 😄. Of the sites I have been on in the last four years I have needed them around 85% of the time. My Bailey/Peugeot combination sits slightly nose down normally so these assist the hydraulics in achieving level.

ShiftZZ Dave, we have the HPC system which has similar base plates to E&P which are fine on most surfaces.
For the times the ground is particularly soft or deep shingle we carry a set of 30cm crane pads. These also help on very steep pitches but rarely used.....

Hi Paul
Can you provide a link for these covers please

TCG - UK supplier.

These are the manufacturers and a little cheaper, but have sold out.

I’ve had an E&P system on our last 2 vans and never had a problem with the standard 9” footplate, whether it be on gravel or grass.

Been on a few very wet grass pitches and they coped fine.

We have E&P and if you are a member of the C&MC you can get the big feet for free HERE

But only on a new install of an E & P levelling system, not to buy if you already have a system on you van.

I have just bought a set of these and it led me to identify 2 jacks where the rubber o rings were disintegrating and one plate was quite loose so that has been a good exercise as I have just got some new rings. Only just 2 years old! I have been looking closely at the plastic and I wonder if it will sustain a sharp stone dead centre under the bell of the steel disc? Any experience with these cracking or splitting?

Hi sallylillian. Can I ask if you managed to find replacement o rings as I've found the same problem but have had problems contacting anyone at E&P? Many thanks

Try Mick at SAP for the exact ones, or find a local general hydraulic company, take the damaged ring in and they will match it.

Hi sallylillian, sorry I somehow missed your post, better late than never so they say.

I have noticed that one of the rubbers that allow the footplate to tilt is giving up the ghost on one of my front rams also.

With regards to the plastic footplate covers, mine are showing no sign of damage to the central area where the bell of the steel footplate is, but I normally check for anything that is likely to cause damage before lowering the rams.

Thank you very much. I spoke to Rob at SAP who was most helpful and is trying to source them. Regards.
