Our local libraries are now stocking e books. You just log on to the library web site and download the book to your reader.

If your local library doesnt have it you are re-directed to another library on the wirral that does have it.

When your loan period expires it de-activates from your reader.

In theory you should be able to download from any public library in England. Dont know about Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

I think its great and a major plus for our library services. Now I need to buy a reader.

I think it's the end of "library" as we know it. And quite right too. What use is a huge expensive building when it can all be put on line. It's the 21st century.
