I know I confused the DVLA when I changed my reg number in August (only 3 attempts) but they issued a new tax disc in the new reg on 13/08/14
No reminder was received for renewal on 30/09/14
Just received a 'Last Chance' to renew my vehicle tax from DVLA - Leeds, not Swansea
Went on line to tax, typed in the 16 digit code on the 'Last Chance' to renew - vehicle not recognised
Gave up after 3 attempts, used the Document reference number on the V5 - all shows up OK - and taxed on line
...........and the 'new system' has only just started.......................
