Any government has to pay for what they spend. Usually right wing ones tend to be lower tax ones but right now a lot of expenditure has to be covered. Local councils set the road tax here. Mine is one of the highest in Spain at 161, 58€ for the van. Been the same price for the last 3 years I've taxed it.No but after 70 it means taking a regular medical.
