Hi, I have just used the fantastic Google map (recommended on another thread) and found a really direct route to the south of France. The only problem is the detailed instructions mention toll roads and partial toll roads.

My question is, does anyone know of a site where we can find out how much the tolls will cost along a particular route?

We are not going to do the whole trip in one go and will be stopping along the route.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ginny and Michael

Hi Ginny

Try HERE

It's in french so it takes some working out. But give it a try.

Travelling long distances can be expensive in France. We tend to try to work a rout out that avoids the major towns but in between use the N roads, unless we are in a hurry. :whatthe:

Hi Ginny, again.

Just been looking at Mappy as recommended by the hutchies. Looks good to me & you can pick a no till route. I shall be using this in future :thumb::thumb:

Thanks Keith and Phil for your advice, those maps gives us much more choice. The problem is do we sacrifice speed for seeing the countryside or money on petrol versus tolls!

Which route do you normally use on the way down? We want to have the best of all worlds, including somewhere pleasant and safe to spend the evening.
