We are currently in St Jean De Luz and are moving up to the above for an overnighter.

There seems to be quite a few aires on search for sites.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards Arcachon Le Moulleau and then cylcling in to the dune.

What do you think.

Its a Saturday tomorrow, but the weather is changeable. We should arrive at 12ish.

Thanks

Had a look a few years ago and I believe that there is one with direct access to the pile of sand, can't remember if it was an Aire or Campsite though.

not long enough
we have used camping du panorama a few times ACSI rates are €17 or were in Feb this year, not sure about aires, but there are quite strict no parking signs in a lot of the possible options, although I do think one of them is an aire, not heard of lots of options in that area, it is busy at all times of the year

Thanks for the recommendation David, but I think the site is closed, not opening till next year.

We visited it from the Biscarrosse-Plage aire (in the forest) but drove to it in the MH - we managed to find parking along the D218 near one of the paths up to the dune.

Perhaps 30min south of the dune.

*edit* @magicsurfbus beat me to it!

I should add that if you're a lycra clad loon there's a well-defined cycle track along that whole stretch of the coast, so if you're up for a 15 mile excursion it can be done.
