I'd be surprised if you can dump from the panel ... can you put a picture of the panel for the "experts" to view?

how do you post a pic

I've got a Swift Bessacarr 599 and you have to make sure the control panel is on before the water dump switches work.

how do you post a pic
There are two ways. The top choice is specific to photos. The other lower one is files or photos.

Edit: but either way, posting a pic needs a pic local to the device you’re reading MHF on. So easier if your on a smart phone…

Attach photo

If you are using a phone simply click 'attach files' at the bottom of text box
Select 'camera' from drop down box.
Take picture then 'insert'....choose full size then 'post reply'

Found this relevant to mode given

water tank will be fitted with either a
manual or electrically operated drain
valve. The manual valve will be located externally close to the motorhome skirt, while the electrically operated valve is controlled using the control panel above the motorhome entrance door. For more details on controlling the electrically operated valve, see the Swift Command section of the handbook

this is the panel. all power was switched on

(y) thanks for adding a pic.
Your van is more modern than mine, but I saw that control panel in a motorhome at the Newbury motorhome show yesterday & I assumed those buttons were for dumping  :) (Besscarr?)

buttons are for dumping grey and fresh water used them before all ok. just not doing anything now. i’ve checked all the fuses

fresh water now started to work. would be that one the grey tank still half full

Are you sure there is wsste water in your tank? Hired a Swift with that older style Command last year - the water gauge kept saying it was full even when empty..

yes not let any out so it must still be there fresh water dump started working. you can hear a noise when button is pressed. no noise on grey water button. thanks all for trying to help

If they have electrically operated valves I would expect there to be a click when they open? Do you hear anything with either tank when you press the buttons? You may need to stand next to the waste pipe to hear it. It could be the valve or it could be a mechanical blockage.

when you press fresh water button you can hear a noise like a motor turning on and the same when you turn it off. the same was working on the waste button

So it could be the electrical supply to the valve on the waste tank isn't working. Can yo check the voltage at the valve? There might be a fuse by the valve?

Is SWMBO praying in the reflection there 🤣😇

will have a look at valve tonight. not got a tester or how i would use it. hoping there would be a mechanical override still under warranty but booking in is weeks away was going to scotland in 2weeks xxcxffcx

If you can hear the motors turning on top of the valve the must have become detached or sheared off from the valve head, they are a just an electrical replacement for the tap head on the valve, usually just fitted over the valve and tightened with a hand tight knurled nut, if you can remove this you can get a pair of grips or some on the top of the valve and turn it to open manually, should get you over the problem until you get it booked in

no sound on waste button will have a listen to the valve tonight thanks again
