Dump tap (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone
I’m getting ready for my 90 day trip abroad but I’m having trouble closing down dump valve which won’t close. This is the blue one that opens if the temperature drops below 5 degrees any ideas please

What type of frost protection valve is it, a photo would help.

The valve is a Truma , as for a picture I can only just get my hand in to switch it on and off by the way the van is a Hymer B588DL

The top switch and the bottom push button must be aligned to re set it.
Play Nero and have a fiddle.

Frost button is hard up against metal upright it’s unable to release even if was freezing great Hymer design

That sucks. I would try moving the entire valve a bit.

That’s on my list to do ASAP and then see where we go but I have to remove a lot of stuff first which is a pain

Put a picture of the valve on and then we can see if it’s in the correct setting.

Thanks for your help on this matter but it is impossible for me to take a picture as it’s position is very difficult to get to even with my hand working blind

They can be a bugger to reset once opened and take a good few turns and shoving of the plunger, so must be a complete pain if it’s well hidden. Hope you get it sorted.
