More than toes wet now!
D&G Council have a parking area (grass and some old hardstanding) outside the gates of New England Bay C&MC site.
There's access to a sandy beach, picnic tables, water tap and a toilet.
There was an AT Savannah wilding there for a couple of days last week.
There didn't appear to be any "no overnight" signs (only one saying "stop stealing pebbles off the beach") and it was mentioned on the site it appears the Council tolerate it.

As @Janine has just said!

And here's a photo of the area. Toilet is the white building. There's a further area to left through a tarmacked gap in the bushes behind the toilet.

Dumfries and Galloway has a few miles of coast, if you give me a clue to where you want to visit then I'll do my best to help

As mentioned above plus Port Patrick they have a big car park that says no overnight but if your sensible and dont over stay your welcome the locals and the council community wardens wont mind. You can also stay at Port Logan although the pub has closed down so nothing there at night apart from piece and quiet.

If your sensible and dont bother anyone then know one will bother you either, if your on Facebook the join the group Scottish motorhome wildcampers they have a very good map of wild spots

Hi.
You could park up by the Weir of the River Nith, almost in the town centre, but out towards Stranraer you will be spoilt for choice. Enjoy

Since 2008 after caravanning for 20 years
On the road down to the Mull of Galloway there are plenty places to park up, also Wig Bay on the western shore of the loch.

We went further up the coast to Girvan (technically Ayrshire) where we overnighted on the seafront with six other MH's
