We’re thinking that our lovely orange chairs, hand-made in Northern Ireland,

are sadly not what they used to be, and wondering about a change. Sadly I don’t think anyone else makes orange chairs so the main candidate is Dukdalf.

We sat on a couple at Düsseldorf - the smallest, the Camperina, does fit us both but not with much leeway if we take on extra cheese in the future. The next one, the Presto is probably better, but I’ve heard people on here recommend the Dynamic. What’s the difference? They seem to be the same size.

And is there another orange chair out there? I will give the Denby Order of the 🍊to anyone who finds one :)

Our Dukdalf's, are 20 years old they are the stronger ones with the rectangular extruted aluminium frames so a bit heavier than the tubeler frames. They are certainly the best camping chairs.

Thanks both - what's the difference between the Dynamic and the Presto? They're the same size - is one just a little lighter or do you lose reclining positions etc?

Sorry can't help with that.

No doubt one will more expensive🤑

We have Dukdalf Aspen chairs in the motorhome because they weigh less. They are still very comfortable but easier to move around than the heavier Dukdalfs we use at home.

I suspect the Dynamic is discontinued, as the catalogue only shows the Presto.

I was looking at getting the Brilliante, as it's a bit taller (as am I), but everywhere seems to be out of stock.

Nothing to do with the chairs, but where is the stellplatz/aire the pic was taken on please? Looks very nice!

Vianden in Luxembourg. Was good - right next to the river, quick walk to town, great showers.

It’s on page 8…
You're not wrong..... new specs required!

Helpful actually, looks like they do 3 different versions of the Brilliante, glad I now know that as I bet I'd get the wrong one!

So..... looks like the Presto comes with "3D Mesh" only, which looks like it's padded. The Dynamic just comes with single skin, unpadded fabric, and hence weighs a bit less. Unless I'm wrong again! Other than that they look much the same.

The Brilliante comes with either fabric, or other options ("Sensitive"?)

Don't make it simple do they?

Thanks! Have nearly stayed there twice, will definitely give it a turn.

We have orange and black chairs, but can't recall the manufacturer. Very robust and comfortable though

Thanks - so it sounds like the Dynamic is lighter and not as padded. As long as it reclines properly, it sounds like the right one for us (unless we find the orange one above!).

Over the years we have had various chairs, and at home we have one Lafuma and one Dukdalf chair 🙄 the reason it's one is they are the one's that my lightweight wife Janie used, we have two sets of chairs one chair had a replacement arm at four years, the rest have been faultless and they come with a 6 year warranty, they are a Spanish company Crespo probably not the cheapest but they a give 6 year warranty repair or replace.😁🤔
😎 Bob.

I got one, and at a decent price - Winfield have it at £129 which is definitely the cheapest I saw anyway, but sign up for an account and wait for a while and you'll get a "Here's 10% off to tempt you" email. They didn't have any stock for ages and replied to say there was none due in imminently, then lo & behold they were back in stock.

Arrived today - very impressed, clearly a quality chair, very comfortable with good back support and a comfortable head rest, even for a tall bod like me. The Dukdalf catalogue shows a really good variety of chairs that should suit all sizes - seat heights vary for example. Not a cheap chair but should last for many mnay years, folds very flat as well, especially considering it's more padded than most. Only criticism is it's a little more fiddly than most to unfold, but it's perfectly bearable.

Much, much better for me than the Lafumas I bought a while ago. Ebay beckons for them!
