Has anyone found a stopover in Duddingston, I noticed a small car park next to a loch? Looking also at the pub car park?

Haven't stopped there myself so not sure, you can stay at Portobello beach and Mussleburgh harbour. If your just going for the night park up in a quiet street and no one will notice, when I visit my daughter whos at uni in Edinburgh I just park up on the street. She lives about 1/2 mile from the Meadows

There's several places to park up behind Shawfair park and ride , very near Duddingston , I walk the dog there all the time but never slept over , could be some Neds about at night......I think lorries use it too.

never tried this either ! but I've heard people stop in the car park by the royal observatory , blackford Hill.

Oh and Portobello is full of people living in Caravans , sic last time I was there. Mussleborough by fisher row harbour is good and has toilets and a tap
