Is anyone able to help please - we’re in Scotland and our Ducato has an amber warning light showing: Start/Stop not available and Check Adblue system. Adblue level is fine. Now got a countdown until the engine won’t restart!! RAC diagnosed a P0217 code. Anyone know what this is or any fixes?

Thanks - starting to think the code might not be correct or necessarily related. It’s the countdown of miles until complete shutdown that’s causing most concern and says linked to the Adblue?!?

Error Code P0217 is described as Engine Overtemp Condition or Engine Overheat Condition. Meaning, the engine is/was overheating, and should be turned off as soon as possible. This happens when the engine coolant is excessively high under a normal speed of engine.

Have you checked it's the same on fiat engines as well as fords?

Thermostat? Head gasket?

The engine message says check Adblue system - we’re booked into Fiat tomorrow- will let you know the outcome. Thanks all for your help

we had a boxer van in with a similar problem had to use snap on scanner to tell it that adblu was full and it reset to a sensible mileage to empty
