Since my Ducato was serviced by NETV recently I get an intermittent orange warning light that looks like its indicating low oil pressure.

Turn ignition on and the red oil pressure light is on (under the rev counter) . Start engine and this red warning goes out immediately.

Sometimes, like 1 in 10-15 times I then get an orange warning light in the central display under the external temperature reading. This is never displayed without the engine running.

- see attached photos.

Turn off engine and restart between 1 and 3 times and this warning also goes out.

Anyone else had this issue as I never had before it was serviced at approx 4 years and 20k miles.

NOTE its not low oil level, I have checked both on display and via dipstick.

It is oil level and as you proved ...not accurate or reliable.
Peugeot and Fiat work vans had this crap system and just got ignored.
The red oil light is oil pressure.

Have they used the correct oil?
Oil warning light is a common fault unusual for a Ducato not to have it.

It's a warning light for oil sensor failure.

Thanks all, I will ignore and then sue you when it blows up 😂

Put the van into NETV @ Blaydon regarding the intermittent oil warning light. 1st available slot June! The manager overheard the conversation and jumped in to get an earlier appt due to the type of fault. As we were going on holiday, no rush, keep it for 14 days and fit it in when you can.

Dropped it in Tuesday at 5pm, phone call Thursday 11am (unfortunately for me it was 5am here ). A poor phone signal but confirmed the sensor resistance is way out of spec and should be changed. Launched into a conversation about the sensor location, need to drop this part to access this, etc. the gist of which I think was to imply it was going to be very labour expensive.

I reminded the caller that it was under Fiat extended warranty and he stopped short, paused and said 'OK then, I'll get it sorted'

Perhaps the extended warranty was worth the money?

Offset 5 hour charge £115hr -£600 ish, beggining to look worth it.
Because I didn't get an extended warrenty (didn't know about it till too late) i have deliberately not used my van so any problems occur after 5 years so as not to annoy me for not getting it.

The sensors only cost around £10 and are simple to replace, just depends where it is

Yes, the call was poor quality but I think he mentioned £16 for the sensor and then went into removing this and dropping that which ties in with the info on the older thread. It's on an A class so no doubt requires the skill of a contortionist to achieve the desired result.

That happened to me a couple of years ago. I went to the local Iveco commercial garage and they updated the software in the ECU. At the time it was FOC.

Our 2019 Burstner with the Fiat 2.3 150 hp had the same problem shortly after we bought it (New) on our first rip to France. Had Fiat assist come out he reset the warning light but it came on again on the way back to the UK. Took it into out local Fiat dealer. Flash upgrade, has not happened again in 20,000 miles.

Update.
Just picked up van from NETV. No paperwork offered so asked for a copy of job sheet for my service records ‐ sorry not possible.

Asked for some paperwork detailing work carried out ‐ sorry not possible as it was warranty?

Queried the labour time to replace the sensor/sensor and was told 12 hours .

Pleased I wasn't paying!
