Just had a letter from Caravan Guard a month after taking out our policy, well it was posted a month after, but has taken Pat over a week to get it to us.

The letter is a reminder that the security features discussed when taking out cover should be up and running by now.

I'm happy that I finally sorted out the tracker which took 3 weeks and I had to buy a replacement unit, but there is a reminder about the Immobiliser.

I took the policy out before we collected the van, and phoned the dealer to ask if the van was fitted with an Immobiliser, the answer was yes.
Now of course I want to be sure because I'm not sure the spare key has a chip.

Does anyone know for sure if a 2021 Ducato has one as standard?

Thanks.

NFU asked me this daft question about the immobiliser. My reply included: "My vehicle is based on a Fiat Ducato first registered in 2017. The Thatcham vehicle security national listing (Issue 104 January 2021) shows all Fiat Ducatos from May 2002 onwards to be fitted, as standard, with an L2 Electronic Immobiliser, Evaluation No. TEL1 - 80/0502. This meets your requirements."

According to WattGuardz, it is a legal requirement to have an immobiliser built in to all new vehicles and has been for ages.

I have a 2022 Fiat Ducato Series 8. The factory immobiliser is insurance/Thatcham approved. The imobiliser is re-coded everytime the ignition is switched on after the key was removed from the previous code.
