Has anyone with a 2015 or later Ducato got the built in phone holder in the central flip up note holder on the dashboard and you are not using it? Wondering if you wanted to swap (with some cash as well) for the one without the holder that I have got fitted.

The one I am after looks like this

Many thanks.

Before you swap yours first remove the one you have and make sure there is space for the 'gubbings' at the rear of the flip-up one as some vehicles can't accommodate it.

Are these easy to swap over.
Will watch for replies as it's something I fancy doing

Simple swap over on the X290. There were problems with earlier X250s with a passenger airbag but that was changed. The only problem would be if there was a second passenger airbag, but that would only be on versions with middle seat, which does not apply to my A class. Just need to check how to take my dealer fit double DIN media centre, as shown in the videos.

I have seen the videos showing how easy they are to change, and found on ebay. Just trying to find a more economical way ........ ;) .

Any update?

Have you found a cheaper one yet?

If so, have you done it yet?

No, no and no ::bigsmile: Seems like nobody wants to swap!

Not sure it is worth it when I had a good look at where it will go. It seems to be a bit clunkier than I thought.

At the moment I have a holder on the side trimming of the dashboard on my A class. Close to me and easy to read, but the wireless charging often stopped because it got too hot when the sun was streaming in. I may just resort to using wired charging once we start getting a bit of sun.

But I am still open for a swap if anybody wants to.

Ah, I see

I used a brodit mount in mine, with a wired charger to an android auto headunit

Would that mount be any good for you?

Only issue I've had over winter is the phone getting hot with the heater running, so I'm going to block off the vent

Yep, often used to use Brodit mounts and phone holders, but not so much now. Never really liked the vent mounted ones though because they stopped the hot and cold when you needed it most. My cobbled together generic mount is on the right hand side under the A Class side window.

I have a Kenwood head unit with a USB port coming out into the top glove box, which is right next to flip up holder. But unfortunately the USB port switches off when the unit does and also when the Sat Nav is running on the head unit. So not much good when I am parked up and when I am driving!
