Ducato cab floor panel retainer lost (1 Viewer)

I noticed over Easter, while mid-trip that I seem to have lost a pin or nut that holds the floor panel down in the cab. See pics.

Does anyone know a part number? And best place to get one quickly?

Looks like you have a bit missing as well then.

I would have thought any Fiat dealer would have them, they probably often get lost when battery access is needed.

That's not it - that's got a coin slot on top. The thing that is missing is the small toggle type thing that turns through 90 degrees to hold the cover on. (Don't know where you can get one though )

Yes, that looks like it - the whole catch thing. I don't know if you can take the toggle off the top and fit it to your existing catch or if you'd have to uproot the whole thing from the cab floor and replace it (it looks like it just pulls out). The slotted circular bits should still be in place on your battery cover, so shouldn't be needed AFAIK.

*Makes mental note to be careful not to kick the top off the little toggles on the cab floor

OK, they arrived. How the hell do you get them in? They seem to have kind of ratchets on the side, which would then lead to them going in easy, but not coming out. Fine, but how do I get the broken one out?!!

Never taken one out, but looking at the photos on ebay, it looks like it pushes out.

Fixed.

I was wrong, it doesn't push out. It unsnaps from an oval retaining ring.

Underneath the battery cover is a rather flexible surround that the cover sits on. You push the main catch through a hole in the corner of the surround, then reach underneath and place an oval retainer over the main catch mount. You then hope that you have strong fingers, because it is the devil's own job to snap on the retainer. You have to use your fingers as there is no shape/type of pliers that can do it. After a considerable amount of struggling and pain, it finally clicked on. You then replace the battery cover.

It is too fiddly to do a video of it and anyway would be rated 18 because of the language.

It's all crap. Even with ALL the fixing the whole floor is still loose. Just cover it with a mat, you'll never notice the difference.
