Ok, I’m a guy, I don’t read instruction manuals. If I missed this perhaps someone else has as well.

After 7k miles in my 2021 Ducato based PVC hating the stop start as I had to keep my foot on the brake pedal at traffic lights etc I found out by accident that if you flick it into park quickly the stop start continues to function and you can take your foot off the brake pedal. Either that when you stop immediately put into park and then the stop start activates. When you want to go again put it back to drive and it starts.

So glad I worked this out before taking 1 hour 20 minutes to get through 20 miles of roadworks on the M6 on Tuesday.

Perhaps I should get the manual out and see what else it does 🤣😂🤣

That all seems a very strange way for it to manage that process Andy. I thought it would just work like my manual car, stop the car and engage neutral & it stops but thinking about this as I type I realise that is just the same process, it’s been a long day 😜. Hopefully I will soon learn how to drive an automatic, will ring the dealer next week to see if 6/7 arrival there is still on the cards 😊

Fingers crossed for you. Just back from 2 months in France and van was faultless so I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

On my 2020 Peugeot pvc there is a button to the right where my knee is that turns the stop/start off until the ignition is turned off, It defaults to on so I always forget to turn it off until the engine stops when I get in the van again for another journey

Same on my 2022 Ducato 9 speed. Switch on RHS of dash switches stop/start off
