Need a bit of help anyone please, my leisure battery was flat after leaving it on storage over the last 3 months, the solar panel didnt seem to charge the battery, so took it home and charged it for 2 days, put it back on my motorhome and and thing are working, but the controler has only 1green light not 2, think battery 1 is leisure and battery 2 is the engine battery as the foto shows, so not sure what's going on with it,

I can't find the manual online but it looks like it's faulty. The best Duo controllers are made by Votronic. Ours is this one but they do different sizes..

First thing I would check with a multimeter across + and - on output 1 with one of the wires disconnected to see if there is any voltage. If there is none then the controller could be faulty. Reconnect the cable and test again (this will be the actual leisure battery voltage) if there is voltage then again it is probably the controller. If no voltage then look for a blown fuse or disconnected wiring between the controller and the leisure battery. You cannot completely turn off the charging to battery 1 in the setup (minimum would be 10/90%) in favour of battery 2.

The solar controller may not recognise the refitted battery.
Disconnect and reconnect the panel. The panels are always connected last.

Here is a link to a version of the manual.

On mine, battery #2 is the leisure battery but as far as I can tell, there is no particular reason for this other than that's what the installer decided to do. Perhaps your first check should be with a multi-meter to see what sort of voltage reading you get on each output - it may be that battery #1 on your set up is not recognised by the controller because it is either over or under voltage? I have that happen on mine. You could also check to see what the charging priority settings are - mine are 50/50 engine and leisure but if we were 'off grinding' more, I would have it more like 70/30 in favour of the leisure battery.

leisure but if we were 'off grinding' more,
Can you enlighten us to your ‘off grinding ‘ and what it entails please 😳

I helped out a couple of Funsters at a rally last year both had that controller.
One the controller was drawing 2 amps from the leisure battery when there was no sun the other one was charging at a too higher voltage.
I would ditch that controller & get a decent one for a dual one I get one from the Votronic MPP range.

I’ve got the same controller, fitted by the dealer when we purchased the van. 70 / 30 in favour of the leisure batteries (2 x 110’s) and all working well.

I also added to plug in monitor.

Cheers all for your replies, I'm going to get an electrician to have a look, cause I haven't got a clue about all this.
