I have a dji phantom which I bought 3 years ago.I used it 4 times but couldn’t be bothered to cart it about, so
Does anyone have a dji mini 2 as they look great fun. If so are they as good as the videos

Got a mini 2 fly more combo. Brilliant bit of kit. Sold my air and mini 1. Use only the mini 2. Very stable, easy to charge but very slow. Great video and pictures for ocassional use. Really small so makes it easy to bring in a bag and the controller is much better than the previous one IMO. I'm not a fan of DJI as a company but they do make great kit.

I'm in the same boat. Thinking about selling the barely used Mavic for a sub-400g camera drone.

Are you down sizing because of the weight restrictions? it's not difficult to do the test online and get an operator id. I've just bought an SJRC F11 PRO 4K only £200 and they get good reviews.

I'm about to buy the mini mavic 2 as an entry into drones, just looking for best price. Seems it recently dropped from £579 to £549 unless anybody knows of a better deal ?

It's more that there are fewer restrictions on sub400g drones.

Another DJI Mini 2 combo user. I was out using it today. It takes amazing footage and super easy to use. Plus being sub 250g, it's different rules. I paid £549 for the combo deal and you get three batteries and a battery bank. The batteries do take an age to charge, but you get a decent flight time with them.

Bought one off ebay which was actually brand new (a replacement) with the 3 batteries etc for £330 cash to give you some idea. Get the extra batteries, its a no brainer

Another mini 2 owner here, cracking bit of kit, it's amazing how they've progressed from only one or two generations back, from the one's that I learned to fly one.

Just get one, you won't regret it

Those with a Mini 2, be aware of the current battery problem in that storing your batteries in the battery charging hub and in your drone will keep the batteries at 100% charge if they have been charged which WILL damage your batteries.

I've been thinking about buying a dji mini 2 for quite a while but I'm put off by all the flight restrictions even for <250g models.
How useful are they when travelling? Can you use them to make a video of the campsite for example? I guess not.

With the up to 4x zoom lens on the Mini 2 you can get good footage and photos and still keep within the rules of hight and distance. (y)

Well one ordered for Tuesday delivery. I went to the Leicester drone club and was shown around a variety of drones. As most of you said the mini 2 is great, they gave me the controller to have a go

Weird as I've ordered one too for delivery Tuesday!!!! I used to have the Mavic Pro which I loved but wasn't using it enough and the whole licencing thing put a lid on it for me. However, now I want one for a bit of fun but to add a different perspective to my youtube channel too.
