Driving while drinking hot drinks

Do you think driving with a hot drink is safe, somebody cut me up then pulled in the emergency lane further along…in pain with a hot spot in the neither region. Very red face
All these coffee outlets on roads , yet it states 2 hands on the steering wheel??

Seems to me half the population are addicted to coffee, they have it everywhere, what did we do in the old days when you had to stop at a cafe or wait till you got home to have a drink

When we all drive electric cars you will be forced to stop for 30 minutes to top up so may as well have a coffee whilst you wait, problem solved

I've always drunk tea, coffee, eaten & smoked whilst driving. I never leave the house even to walk the dog without a drink & keep a dozen cans of coke in the fridge . I used to work on the assumption that Alicante airport was a 500ml coffee leaving the house & a stop for food & coffee 44kms from the airport. Done it for 50 years.

Eating or drinking whilst driving comes under the law of driving without due care and attention and could result in a fixed penalty ticket or court appearance. If involved in an accident whilst doing so could end up with insurance difficulties.
