2 adults and our 17 year old are off to Spain through France in a few weeks and there seems to be conflicting reading our gov website anyone travelled very recently. We are both double jabbed and our son has a single jab none has had booster. Also is there border controls from France into Spain as last time we went there wasnt.

Thanx

No border controls into Spain from France by road.
You need to check the latest info but when travelled early May, you needed to show a booster or acceptable reasons ( to France) why not boosted.

We came over from Spain to France yesterday. No border checks other than the usual handful of Gendarmes on the look out for anything suspicious. Same a few weeks ago when we crossed the other way.

From the UK.gov website

For travellers aged 18 and over, France will recognise you as ‘vaccinated’ for entry purposes if you completed your initial vaccine course within the last 9 months. If more than 9 months have elapsed since your initial course, and you have not since received a booster, you will be considered unvaccinated and must follow the rules detailed below. Travellers under 18 years old do not require a booster for entry to France.

did you have to do pcr tests for that trip ? looks like we all need to have tests before we leave home and have 72 hours from result

Why, unless that has just been reintroduced its old info and not required. Unless that is in place of your lack of acceptable vaccination status.

As far as I can see to enter France your son will have to have a test as he has only had one jab. You and your wife will need tests if your last jab was more than 9 months ago, if less no test required.

There is no one to check at the French/Spanish border. I dont think we showed anything other than passports at Dover either.

Agreed paasports only, except we had to load copies of our vaccination status to the eurotunnel booking which if not done confirmation to travel is not given.
