Just make sure you visit the Millau Viaduct.

Go to the site of the old visitor centre under the bridge. Awesome!!
Did you notice that the board of constructing engineers had all the French contractors in large letters and the architect, Sir Norman Foster almost last in smaller letters ? Makes you think they were just a bit Peeved they didn’t design it themselves. :giggle:

We have stayed at Couderc a couple of times. It has the best swimming pool, looking down on the river, and the French couple who run it are lovely. We chose pitches at the bottom of the site, next to the river. On both occasions we hired kayaks. The first time we went from the site and were picked up downstream and the second time we were dropped off and made our way back to the site. Can’t remember the names of the villages we went to but can definitely recommend it. At the time, we had an Autotrail Serrano which was 8m long and had no problem driving in the Gorge. We have driven from Florac to Millau and across the top from St Enimie to La Canourge which is just off the A75. This was in June and the traffic wasn’t too bad.
