Very popular (ie often gets full!) paying aire at Neufchâtel en Bray - but €12 incl EHU and toilets. Right by excellent cycle path, and close to supermarkets.

Do you want to meander over a few days or dash down via the shortest/quickest route?
We have done that route quite a few times and it takes us anything between 3 and 14 days depending on the weather.
A few weeks age it was 3 days as it was damp and cold. :(

Fantastic Aire at Verteuil Sur Charente with 16 amps electric for 2 euros . Real authentic French village. To get elecy phone the number or go to mayors office before 12.30. Lovely little place with a toilet, nice riverside location next to a park. 5 minute walk into village with English owned restaurant.Other bars nearby , well worth a stop over.

When are you going? Many French campsites do not open until May.

We always use Aires, but over Easter we ended up in an OK campsite at Azay le Rideau just off the A10 near Tours. We were heading for the adjacent Aire but it was closed for maintenance, although nothing was going on in it. Nice little town and a very pretty Chateau to visit.

Many thanks for your advise we’re intending to get to our destination in 5 days, we’ll have a look at the suggested stopovers and give it a try. Many thanks.
