Do I need an international driving permit for Slovenia?

I`ve not heard that you do and I`m heading there from Croatia on Monday, It`s just the Darsgo box for the toll motorways as far as I know.

Slovenia is part of the EU so UK license valid - enjoy, it's one of my favourite countries.

Then you will need an international licence.

There were 2 old style licences, one was green and the later one had some pink.

The later one is ok. I changed mine many years ago to take advantage of the pink one being accepted in europe.
