My good lady, is 70 next birthday... (But don`t tell her I told you.. :giggler: :shake:.. )

Now my question................ She has a C1of E... over seven & a half ton, and all that..

She does not want that part.... just want`s a normal car license..

What has she got to do.. just to get her license for a normal car, or M-home up to 3 "N" half ton or what ever it is..

    :thanks4:

    Nothing.

Her new licence will just have Cat B on it.

You only have to do something if you want to retain C1.

I don't think you have to update the photo but you can if you like.

If she's got a passport she can do it online and not have to send anything in.

They do that if you apply online and want to change your photo. You can't do that if you send a paper application and I don't think you have to change the photo every time.

As said,.. Do nothing and it's automatic..
BUT Entitlement still exists and at a later date a medical can be took and the C1 re-instated..

They do indeed....but only if the passport was renewed in the previous 5 years.
Makes a mockery of the licence photo in my book.
It has to be renewed every 10 years but CAN be 5 years out of date.
The application states the photo must be a good/accurate likeness but a lot can happen to looks in 5 years.

Make sure she gets the E on the B licence or forget towing if you need to.
