Driving licence & Health Card for France Holland & Germany.

I have not traveled to the EU for so long I have forgotten all the rules.
1) Can I use my Photo type UK licence to drive my MoHo in the EU.
2) I have a European Heath insurance card, it expired 03/2019. Are these cards of any use now, should I bother to renew ?.

Licence all okay, EHIC ... as it is expired you will need the replacement called GHIC, the G meaning Global. I think there is a requirement for travel health insurance too but cant swear to that and who is gonna check. Of course if you need it then it's a different matter.....

Thanks for your replies.
I also have 2 international driving Licences, now expired & never used. I can't work out why I got them in the first place, maybe the "B" thing.
I understand we are not allowed to use the "b" word in full anymore !

Depending when you're going you may be to late for the ghic card , I applied in late July, I left Scotland mid September as far as I'm aware it has still not arrived and my ehic expired in November. So I've just had to wing it and hope for the best. I'm in good health though so I can take the risk .....sort of .

Normal license is fine .

P.s you can mention the b word if you support it. Its only if you opposed it then it's frowned upon.

Pre 1997 requires an international driving licence to support it.Post 1997 , pink one , is ok on it's own.

I pulled mine out of my wallet when stopped by the Guardia in 2016.

My son in law asked my wife, what is that he's just given the Police?.

My wife said, its his well thumbed driving license. MY SIL said "it looks like an ancient transcript"

Suffice to say, it wasn't accepted. I didn't have my Passport or any of the papers in my car (wife had taken them out for some reason). I did have a Photo of my Passport on my phone, which the cops kindly accepted.
