We have a A-class van and on opening the sliding drivers widow Saturday the glass shattered, has anyone else experienced this before ??

Hi.
Just a thought.Could have been under tension from when it was built, " Could have been..? " sods law. Happened a lot on the Plastic cab lorries as the cab slightly deformed over the years,sometimes the replacement windscreen went as it to was under the same tension.

That may be possible with a fixed window but the sliding ones have some movement in each direction.

VERY, VERY, VERY long shot this, but...

Whoever was opening the window wasn't wearing a diamond ring were they?

Told you it was a long shot but in another lifetime, I was told not to wipe a windscreen with your hand if you were wearing a diamond ring! (As if !!!)
