Hi,
Looking for some suggestions to resolve an issue with our new drive away awning.
When connected to the van there is a lot of spare material in the tunnel roof because the awning is designed to cover a range of heights and ours is at the bottom end of that range. This material sags and is catching the hab door as we open and close it.

Has anyone any suggestions on how to overcome this, possibly extendable poles or something to hold the roof up?
Open to any sensible suggestions please.

We had the same issue so tend not to connect the awning to the van or move the awning further away from the van although that leaves a wind tunnel between van and awning.

I agree. Ours is near the lower height for our awning, but and it is a big but. The required Kador strip plus the figure of eight joiners add about 75mm to the length of material, making it a floppy fit.
So as above, we position further away or don't actually connect to the motorhome. The later just means a quick transition if raining, otherwise no problem. It certainly makes driving away a lot easier.

Has anyone tried making a frame with telescopic tent poles to try and hold the roof up?

we have overcome it by using straps over the roof. This is a pain as it bangs the van roof all night and don't recommend.
