Morning all we are very new to Motorhomes and have two issues already our toilet is dripping water from the flush outlet even when the 12v is off and the pump can’t work also I have a orange flashing light on the fridge when it’s in the gas setting it was green when I turned it on when we stopped can anybody help cheers

Have you checked to see all your gas cooker rings are still working?

:welco:
Toilet could be a leaking solenoid, if the flush water is fed from the main tank. It's mounted just under the bowl.
When the light on the fridge is flashing can you hear a clicking if so that will be the ignitor. May be a problem with the thermocouple.

I have the same leaking flush on my Thetford c200, I've scoured you tube for advice on how to replace the valve but found nothing. I can see it with a telescopic mirror but can't figure out how to get at it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

on some models, it is easier to remove the toilet or the bowl to access the innards

Thanks for the vid, unfortunately mine's a C200S VE, it doesn't have a flush tank, it takes water from the main tank and pressure for the flush comes from the main pump , just like the taps really. As Larry states above, the offending valve is under the bowl but looks like an incredibly fiddly job (apologies for hijacking the post btw).

As I said eairler it's probably the solenoid easy to get at through the hatch.

Remove Thetford waste tank. from there you can , with difficulty remove three peripheral retaining brackets for the bowl. ( two screws on each ).
You are then able to remove bowl from within bathroom and lift it off base and locate solenoid switch for replacement.
This is not a difficult procedure - but do note is is awkward.
Best of luck.

Sometimes a leaking solenoid is caused by grit/debris lodging itself on the matting surface of the valve.

Repeated flushing might possibly clear the debris....worth a try !!!

Had the same problem whilst on tour. Fortunately, had a system installed whereby you could pump compressed air into the fresh water pipework which cleared the debris.

In the case of the fridge on gas, it's quite common for them not to ignite the first or even more times if it's not been used for a while. The gas jet is very small so may need several attempts before the gas gets through.
