Anyone know why I’m drawing 0.6 Amps with my van sat doing nothing , nothing on whatsoever parked up in storage , no solar panel as yet , could it be from the psu itself ?
Thanks

I assume that you are taking the reading at the control panel so it is switched on, that in itself will consume some power.

Mine uses 0.45 A, the panel and relays are responsible. Turn the panel off, saves quite a bit.

0.6 amp for me too, assume it’s when the panels on, although we do have a small light on one of the tv’s which never goes off (the light not the tv):)

Our panel uses 0.2 amps.

0.6 is quite high, I'd be tracing that down, but I am a bit anal when it comes to amps

Autotrail with a Sargent unit have a constant drain. Usually 0.2- 0.4 Amp. Normal says Sargent. As said 0.6 seems a bit high.
Fitting solar will be a good move.

Anything from .4 to .6 is normally with the panel on if it's an LCD panel although 0.6 is on the high side. with the panel off probably be about 0.1.

I’m taking the reading from the psu ( EC400 )

I queried Sargent about ours reading, I think 0.35A, and they came back with "Normal, that is the minimum resolution of the system".

So the system is a bit approximate. So far I've not that the time or inclination to measure for real at the battery.

So far, with 200W solar on the roof everything has been fine with the battery charger off all the time.

When our panel is off the draw is 1ma. (0.001a:love:) I didn't bother finding out what was taking it, probably nothing.
On later revisions of our van the heating system isn't isolated with the main off switch so it can cool off with it's fan and not go into fault mode. So that could be taking some on yours but I wouldn't have thought that much.

Had a Swift bessacarr with a Sargeant E400 PCU and it used to draw 0.4 amp with the PCU on but, not the control panel. Would advise to switch the PCU off using the shut down button when in storage. With it off ours used to last 4 weeks and the battery was still at 12.5 volts.

This is why it is, in my opinion, a major over site by companies using the various Sargent system in not fitting an isolation switch on the leisure batteries

0.6 amps for me too (07 Swift Bolero). It's honestly never been a problem, although I do have solar which keeps everything topped off whilst in storage. I turn the panel off in storage too. Wouldn't worry about it.
