Tom Tom POI'S

You need to unzip the files and will be left with ov2 files and bmp files.Copy and paste all the unzipped files into the map directory on your tom tom device. this is usually something like"western Europe" or such like. You can use explorer to do this.

My method is to plug the TT into the computer. DO NOT use TT Home.
Choose connect to computer (on TT screen)

Choose the "view contents" option when windows asks what to do with it.

Unzip the POI files on the computer and leave the unzipped files folder open.

If you want to, open the icon file and edit the image and save it back to that folder

Select and drag the files (normally 2 files) into the TT folder called "whatever the name of the map for the region is" (Europe, Australia etc)

Wait until the data has loaded (watch the TT screen)

Unplug and restart the TT.

Check that they work using Manage POI in Preferences.
