Can anyone advise best site to stay with bus or train access to visit Dover Castle.

Whenever we're in Dover we stay at Whitfield which is just outside but quieter.( Lenacre Court Farm ) There is a regular bus service to Dover but not sure how far away from Castle ???
I would stay at Canterbury P+R, the Dover bus does not go from the actual P+R site, but there is a stop adjacent on the main road. The castle is a good uphill walk from the town!
Alternatively, there is a free car park just around the corner from the castle, just off the road that leads up to the Duke of York roundabout off the M2. You could get the MH in there and walk downhill to the castle, in the main season they do run a shuttle though. You could then use any campsite.
A option using the train would be the campsite at Martin Mill, it is adjacent to the station for a quick hop to Dover, another option would be Sandwich Leisure Park site, then the same train to Dover.
