Can't you just turn the double skillet over to cook the top?

The pie might get mangled but I doubt that would stop you eating it? :winky:

The problem is that there isn't enough 'air space' round the sides of the pie for the hot air to rise and cook the top properly. However, I'd be tempted to put it in upside down and cook the top first, then turn it over to finish off, that way the contents shouldn't 'escape' as much as they would if you tried to cook the top last! :thumb:

Oh come on Peter, there are simpliest ways to have the above! You surely don't want to upset Elaine and....be banned for ever from JJ's Christmas card list but most of it .... you don't want a Princess's b****y temper to go with :roflmto::roflmto: You have no idea what JJ has to go through (and vice versa :winky:::bigsmile:) to get those meals .... JJ likes plain meals... and to eat my French stuff he has to put a peg on his nose and keep his eyes shut:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Just call in with your dearest OH and let's have a week of typical French meals :thumb::thumb:

I promiss I won't put snails or frog's legs on the menu:winky:

Mind you, if I get around to sorting my larger whisper quiet, affordable and long lasting Kipor I will be able to use my show bought, 750 watt, electric oven.
JJ

Should have bought one of these, I think Mo or Snowbird have one, all sold now.

I've just looked at the Iceland pie contents and it only has 25% beef in it! :Eeek: Mind you, the FB version only has 25% beef in it too and even this is an improvement on the FB Steak and Kidney pie which contains 12% Beef and 9.5% Pork Kidney ... now I KNOW why I don't like them ... yuk! :shout:

JJ if you eat the whole Iceland Pie (800g) you will consume 1900 calories (245kcal per 100g)! :whatthe:

The FB pies are 'healthier' (if that is the correct term) in that they are around 151kcal per 100g (around 718 kcal for the whole pie).

Realistically ... that's a heck of a lot of calories for a 'cardboard box' with a bit of gravy inside! :ROFLMAO:

Ignore that post and dive in, JJ.

Janine,
Man cooking goes as follows:

In.
Leave it alone.
Out.
Eat.
Sleep.
...................That's familiar, somehow??
(Farting before sleeping is optional).:thumb:

Anything else is complicated.
