I have a Pioneer head unit and I am very happy with it, some people say Pioneer have a high battery drain on standby but I shut it down when not in use.

I have read that some people had problems using CarPlay on units that also have inbuilt navigation systems. It appears that there was a conflict between the position data from the iPhone and the head unit trying to feed its’s own GPS data into the system. It has probably been solved by now but perhaps avoid a head unit with inbuilt navigation, CarPlay is very good without it and the iPhone has better position finding than just GPS.

Bought a xbody? Cheap chinese, works fine, I run it from the leisure batteries so not to drain the starter battery when not on EHU.
