Double check streaming

Just want to double check but does a fire stick draw power from the hdmi port or do I need the adaptor to power from a USB port if I don’t have a spare cigar lighter plug free . Any other alternatives and suggestions welcome

There’s no power connections on HDMI that I’m aware of.
But there is a USB port for powering the Firestick.
edit. I stand corrected. There is +5vDC available. On pin 18

There’s more
HDMI spec shows 55mA on that line.
That’s a minimum and maybe explains why some TV can power a Firestick easily while some can’t.
The HDMI spec is about 1/2 the minimum current of USB specs (& those would probably be older USB and USB2 specs. ).

I've just plugged my firestick into the TV USB occasionally get a pop up saying insufficient power for firestick , I just cancel it and it still works fine.
