Think these are “dog seat belt” retainers. For internal cab door security (especially in remote locations overnight), these may be what you are looking for:

There are alternative designs available, depending on year/design of storage panel on inside of cab doors.

Beware of these clips, the van I recently bought had seat belt holders in the back for I suspect to retain pets and these where in them and they were stuck in the holders, once in they didn’t come out and I literally had to smash the holder up to get them out…😎

I have German made ones - quality bit of kit IMO (womo-tuning). Not cheap though €60.

I have these and drilled a hole in the buckle end to take the other end
We simply leave attached to the door handle at all times

Yep, me too, they are really easy to install and use. Great for during storage, and when the van is in use….apart from when driving obviously!!!

also got the prickstop, which hopefully prevents the central locking been picked…..bit of german humour?

Might be wrong but don’t think they're Ducato 8-compatible, as the door handles no longer have a gap the way they used to.

There are two versions available from Camperprotect.de, with the most recent suitable for the newest Ducato cabs with the new style plastic interior door fittings.

If you have a Ducato, I recommend these.

HEOSafe cab door lock 12656 Ducato 250-290

I am a DIY disaster, but these only take five minutes a side to fit. No straps or ratchets, just a thumb turn, with the options of locking it for long term storage.
Downside is that they aren't cheap. You won't get change out a hundred and fifty.

And difficult to install neatly if you have internal cab blinds fitted…

Agree completely. I've seen the video of the guy tearing his blinds apart with a dremmel. Poor sod.

But I don't have blinds ...

Not if you take the blinds off the door, not difficult, and then an easy job to do.

Have you installed the prickstop yet ? Ordered myself and just arrived but not rushing outside as it is very wet. Just wondering, does it fit Right hand drive ok as it is made in Germany and might possibly be designed for Left hand drive.
