Door retainer

That’s strange, the link I posted is allowing me to order another but there are a few sellers with varying prices but be aware some may be coming direct from China

Damn and blast. Didn’t look that far. Paid the price too. And from China. Daughter bought it in end, cause I couldn’t.
 
I m not entirely sure although they look to be in the same place.
The spring part has 4 screw holes but I think the plastic one only has 2.
I will silicone any holes that don’t match up.

The trouble with this type of retainer is they can be too strong, if your retainer is at the top of the door the force required to pull it apart can bend the door considerably before it let's go
I've tried loads of retainers in an attempt to find better than the 'replace every year' normal factory fit
 
Do you think it would be feasible to leave the plastic section on the body and replace the broken section on the door with the metal one?
