Door lock Need Help (1 Viewer)

Door lock on habitation door will not unlock with key but is OK to lock with key.on outside. All ok to lock & open from inside. Any suggestion please. Have put a new barrel in. Swift Kon-tiki 600 (2003)

Try some spray grease. Wish I had greased ours when it started playing up instead I waited til it broke. :-(

Thanks for info irnbru I already put grease in when I fitted new barrel. Have to wait until it. Breaks. Fingers crossed. But I have got a Milinco security lock. So still ok.

Might be worth trying irnbru's idea again. I had similar issue with habitation lock. Bought a can of spray grease, inserted the long tube nozzle right inside the lock mechanism and give it a good squirt. That was two years back and its still working fine.

We use graphite powder which we found in B&Q ages ago. Used it for our front door lock as well as our caravan door (when we had one). Works a treat.

About the worst thing you can do for a lock
Dry graphite (as per the cruisers post) is the only lubricant for locks
