I suspect many of you who read MMM back in 80’s and 90’s will know the name or have met him personally as I have

On sending New Year wishes to Don and Maureen I have received this replu

Sadly my new year will not be quite as wished. Don passed away shortly before Christmas after a short and unexpected illness. Please on the news to any of our old m/home friends you have contact with.

I hope if you know anyone else who should be told you will inform them

Carol

That’s so sad to hear what a lovely man he was

I interacted with him lots on another forum years ago, he used to travel abroad a lot in his van conversion in winter for the nice weather, he had a Timberland before he had to sell it due to deterioration of his health.

RIP Don.

So sorry to hear that, Don supplied us with loads of help and info about Greece and Turkey over the years, we met him and Maureen in Turkey back in 2012.

RIP Don and sincere condolences to Maureen.

I never met Don, but interacted with him on a number of occasions. He was a fount of knowledge on all things motorhome and widely travelled too. Always happy to pass on advice and guidance to others.

Very sorry to hear this sad news - RIP Don.

We met Don at one of the motorhome shows, I can't be certain but I think he was helping out on vicarious books stand, had a long chat about his travels around Greece and Turkey, a very well travelled couple and always gave loads of information.
RIP Don.

Probably right as he had originally introduced me to Meli and Chris as they needed photos for their All the Aires Book. So I put them all on disc and sent them and have been sending them ever since. Only writing to them at Christmas saying we were retiring and selling our Motorhome

Incidentally I see today outdoorbits is no more. Dave Burley seems to have disappeared from Facebook. Last time we were there he’d turned his storage into a gym. Top of the range and he’d gone into it very OTT

Anyone know what happened?

I’d heard outdoorbits was no more but didn’t know he’d turned the premises into a gym.

No not into a gym. Just a personal gym for himself. At that time ODB was operational.

That's sad I remember him when a few of us were on the Warner's Motorhome Forum before Motorhome Fun and he was very regular and helpful on there, if my memory serves me some of the regular contributors on the Warner's Forum met up at one of the shows and he was amongst them, do you remember Janine he was always so helpful.
RIP Don and condolences to his Family.
