Dometic RM6270 fridge (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,
I'm a wild camping virgin tonight with a lovely spot at the falls of shin and a 3g signal !
Only problem is I can't get the fridge to work on gas.
I selected gas on selector knob and pressed thermostat which should cause an orange light to flash until lit.
But the light won't flash or light at all.
Gas is on and working boiler for water and valve beneath sink is on.
Any suggestion on what problem might be ?

Wouldn't you know it, after posting I tried it again and it flashed a couple of times and I assume it lit. I checked the book and it said to check for flame through inspection window bottom left inside fridge, but I don't seem to have a inspection window !
Is there any other way to check if it's on ?

Place your hand over the external flue it should feel warm.

Yep, heat from flue present so beer will be cold tonight !

When did you turn the gas on?
I had a problem with my previous van that when I turned on the gas for the first time at the beginning of a trip it seemed to take ages before the gas seemed to get to the fridge. eventually it would light but sometimes it took up to an hour.
