Hi
I have recently changed my burnt out pcb on my fridge at the back and front. The fridge works fine on 230v and gas but will not recognise the 12v.
Supply is there but not working.
Does anyone know the wiring on the back board as i am not sure it is correct as a friend disconected the tail from the board and cant find the photo i took.
Rmdt 8505.
Thanks

Which 12v, the heating element or the controller feed. The fridge electronics will still work with 230vdc albeit not correctly.

This is a link to resources, motorhome manuals.

Partway down page is a link to download rmt8xxx installation manual. Might help with some detail re wiring.

Edit, not sure you can see that if not a paid up member.

I've got an RMD8505 on the garage floor currently, I'll take some photos of the wiring (later on, in the bath currently šŸ˜€)

Here you goā€¦The 12V DC heating element cakes should be perm live, but the fridge wonā€™t work on 12V unless it seeā€™s +12V on the D+ line.

Quite often the red wire at the bottom of the pic is in the middle of the choc block this is wrong so it wonā€™t work, like ours was
