A simple swap? not on your Nellie, both fridges need to be fully stripped of doors to go through the hab door.
The new fridge is the same height front to rear whilst the old is taller at the front and lower behind the control panel. The result is that some cabinet remodeling is required but nothing drastic. I wanted to sort out Rapido's bad factory fit anyway so all OK with me.

Awkward

Beautiful

Easier to use

The old fridge is for sale

Old one is a 7655L AES
It has the old centre lock mechanisms which prevents the fridge being hinged on the left in my situation as forgetting to lock the door for travel could be catastrophic.
The new one is self locking RMD8505 and overall a better unit. No metal wire shelves to go rusty either.

I have a buyer who can collect some time next month but says he'll understand if it goes before then. It is currently stood in my dining room and wifey isn't happy

Yes the hinge can be changed over easy, 10 minute job. It is just not safe that way if on the offside of the van! fine on nearside install
