Dometic Fridge Panel Query! (1 Viewer)

We've just bought a very similar part for our Autoroller 746 (due to our model it doesn't have the A button on the front, but other than that its the same), can anyone shed some light on why its got the pictures of the batteries on there? And 1. Where'd they go or how cause I'm either going to need to buy another part or 2. it doesn't matter if you have the batteries in or not?

Don't know which Dometic fridge you have but according to this it's to power the fridge controls when there is no 12v supply,so not needed
