We had a new PCB installed yesterday and the fridge is now working. However, the instructions with the new PCB say that it needs to be programmed to recognise the reed switch that operates the inner light. The instructions say to enter service mode by pressing and holding the temperature button while pressing and holding the main power switch, then choosing option 9. However, the options available end at 7!

Not having an inner light is just an inconvenience, but it also means that the “door open“ alarm won’t work. It’s good to have the light working anyway, especially at night.

Long shot, but has anyone done a similar thing and found a way through? I’ve also emailed Dometic support but won’t hold my breath!

Forgot to say, the inner light was working fine before the PCB change…

Option 9 is for AES fridge control and option 7 for MES control reed switch setting. (According to the Dometic 8000 type Fridge manual that can be found in the Resources section ,manuals for Motorhome stuff , on the top line of this page)

Thanks GeoffnDee. Mine is AES but when I click through the service options there’s no option 9! It appears to end at option 7. I was trying to follow the instructions in the leaflet that came with the PCB. If Dometic get back to me with a solution I will, of course, post here!
