Since 2008, with a gap between 2013 and 2018.
Hi all, I have the RMD 8505 fridge freezer. It worked on hookup at the weekend but on unplugging, was unable to change the power from 230v to anything else. I think it will probably still work on mains, but I can't even turn it off. It just keeps beeping at me and flashing red until I pull the No. 2 fuse and wait a minute before re inserting it.
I'm thinking new control panel, but thought I'd ask, before splashing out the £249.00, if it could be anything else, something come loose maybe?
Also, my panel is different to the one they are now selling, I assume it fits?

Our fridge won't turn off [intermittent fault that now seems to have become permanent]. New Control Panel being fitted tomorrow.

My electrical skill starts and stops at: 'How much to fix it and how quickly?', but I do have dexterity in extracting the cretin card deftly ...

I'm thinking it's the control panel, but I'll take the current one of tomorrow just to see if it's something I can fix.
Is yours a dometic? For what seems like it could be a common fault there is surprisingly little info on Google.
Please let me know if the new panel is the remedy.

Make sure you cut both 12V and 230V power to it for a while. Then re apply. Basically, turn it off and on again.

Yeah that was my 1st thought (hope), didn't work unfortunately.

Before actually sending off for a new control panel, give it a once over for dodgy solder joints, exploded capacitors and dead relays, all of which are relatively easy fixes.

I will do thanks, I'm hoping it's just something that's stopped the switch making contact. I can just about solder a capacitor.

I'll let you know! It's a Dometic Fridge [9431?] and Indy Engineer said it had an intermittent fault, so fingers crossed that tomorrow solves the problem!
