Hi All,
Sadly my fridge/freezer has packed up and Dometic no longer make the same model. I remember from the dim and distant past that Dometic produced a chart that listed all the fridge/freezers they make together with a list of alternatives that could be used to replace the the faulty one. I've looked around but cannot find it on the Internet and so far Dometic have not responded. Has anyone come across this chart and can point me to its location?

Cant help with the list, but have suffered a fridge failure 🙁

Ours was also an oven being a tec tower, no longer made and no equivalent 🙄🤬 , we ended up with a bigger fridge in exactly the same space , but no oven

Will this one do?

I have the same problem in that there is an oven above but hadn't realised it could be integral - I thought they were seperate items. I would be happy to loose the oven if it meant I could get another fridge to fit

I suffered a Tec Tower fridge failure a couple of years ago. The entire rear unit is/was available and replacement was cheaper than a new fridge.

I've been told by SMC Newark (where the MH has been lurking in their compound awaiting parts) that my model fridge/freezer is no longer available and that the cooling box (or absorbsion unit) that would normally be replaced is also no longer available - There doesn't appear to be any great hurry to move forward so I am trying to do the legwork so we can resolve this and get back on the road

I presumed the same as you that the oven was separate, sadly the clue was the oven controls are on the fridge 🤔🙄

No matter what I may need for a motorhome there is generally someone somewhere who can supply, fit, repair or modify. When it comes to absorption fridges there doesn’t appear to be any specialist that can refurbish/upgrade them. If you look on YouTube it looks normal in the US to keep old RV/Trailer fridges going forever.
Is there a specialist I don’t know about? I know there are plenty of places who claim they can repair but it generally ends with “that part is no longer available” “Dometic don’t support it” or some such similar answer.
A true specialist would make or modify a part to get it going again. It appears we are too often guided towards a new one.

In our case the oven controls are located with the oven so fingers crossed it could be seperated. As I say though I'm not bothered as we rarely use the oven so wouldn't be a problem if we lost it

That's the problem these days we have become a society that all too easily turns to the easier option of replace rather than repair
