Glorious day today in The Highlands, 25° and the tides were right, so we took a trip up the coast to see the bottle-nosed dolphins on the Moray Firth.
There were plenty in attendance, and the salmon were running, so the dolphins were having a feast .....

.. and this little calf, one of last year's young was joining in with the fun ...

On and off for many years.
We saw them a few years ago when we were on the Nigg Ferry.

Great photos!

Great photos, we were at Rosemarkie last year but didn't seek out the dolphins as I had already seen them years ago from Fort George but your photos make me wish I had. :Smile:I:thumb:

We were there last Friday evening and saw them. Went back in the morning and they didn't show. People suggested it was because the salmon were elsewhere.

Great photos, were you on Chanonry point, you look nice and close and or have a really good camera

:thumb:

Yes David, it was Chanonry Point. It's a place that has become unbelievably popular since it featured with Simon King on Springwatch a few years back. Those that visit will be interested in new draft proposals for major improvements, including a visitor centre...........
