Given the "soft border" between Ireland and Northern Ireland, do I need to take my dogs to a vet to bring them back to Holyhead?

There is loads of information about taking them "to" Ireland, but none about the return

Thanks

You don't need to go to the vet between Ireland and GB. I've done the journey several times with my dog. Only mainland Europe.

No check's done. No worming needed between Ireland and UK. Technically a passport is needed.

When we travelled to Ireland with friends last year they had no problem taking the dog into ireland, but it was checked coming back to uk, from Eire not the north.
