Dog worming in France / Spain (1 Viewer)

Hi

We will be travelling back through Calais in next few weeks. This will be first trip to mainland Europe with our dog so looking for recommendations for vets to get dog wormed prior to travel back. We plan to travel from Spain (east coast) to Calais over 3 to 4 days so French or Spanish recommendations welcome.

EU pet passport already acquired from previous trip to Ireland so just need advice on vets for worming.

the appointment can be made online, & they are within walking distance of the paid Aire at Neufchatel, or only 3 miles from the free Aire at Mesniere en Bray. There is plenty of parking, & Neufchatel is only about an hour or so from Calais. Always found them reasonably priced as well!

La Mailleraye sur Seine has an interesting aire on the banks of the Seine, with frequent passage of barges and ships traveling between Le Havre and Rouen
It also has a vet in the high st., short walk from the aire that seems to specialize in worming UK dogs. They call the procedure ‘Return to England’ and charge €15.50 per dog

The vet in La Mailleraye-sur-Seine is good and cheap. Unfortunately there wasn’t a vet available for 2 days when we call in a couple of weeks ago.
Popped in one at St. Valery en Caux. Good but twice the price!

La mailleraye sur seine charged me €46 for 2 dogs last time . Unfortunately he never looked at the passport and as 1 rabies jag had expired i ended up having to get rewormed again 3 weeks later

The one i used in france back in march was a right robber €85 for 2 dogs.

Used the Vet at La Mailleraye today, 15.50E with your own tablet, we email them with an appointment request a few days before, they seem to like to do appointments @ 5pm. We've probably used this Vet 6/7 times over the past few years, they're only 5 minutes walk from a very pleasant river front aire

We use this one. We stay on the free Aire up the road at Mesniers en Bray.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced Vet located more towards the Bordeaux/Spain side of France/Spain? Time restraints mean we need to get the worming done earlier in the trip rather than La Mailleraye which we often use.

Please bear in mind the time frame for getting the tapeworm treatment done.

"The treatment must have been given no less than 24 hours and no more than 120 hours (5 days) before you enter Great Britain."
